The device features an 8-character alphanumeric LCD that displays a variety of information, including the caller's name and received messages. It has large programmable buttons, a powerful 4-watt front-facing speaker, and a compact hand microphone with five levels of mic gain for clearer transmission. It supports IDAS digital mode operation, offering compatibility with IDAS multi-site conventional and single-site trunking.
