back to newsOctober at D2N – Technology Solutions featured some great projects with the ARU, AFL, NRL and Supercars teams all rounding out their seasons with equipment hire and engineering services. With all the challenges Covid 19 has brought to Australia it has been great to still be able to enjoy our sports and support our customers with some great technology and customer service.
Rental
A really cool rental project we recently delivered was a joint venture with Bose Professional for the Wallabies National Rugby Union Team. Working with the team in Framingham USA, D2N has delivered an Active Noise Cancelling Bose B40 Headset connected to our Hytera PD662 radios. For those of you working in high noise environments currently using the ‘skull crusher’ headsets, the Bose B40 is a huge change with a comfort factor second to none. D2N has exclusive access to the two way radio product, feel free to reach out to use if you are looking for an ‘all day wearing’ high noise headset. Our system will travel with the Wallabies for the remainder of 2020 and into the 2021 season.

Keeping with rentals for the moment we recently deployed our Bolero system integrated with some Hytera PoC radios giving the customer access to their team across Australia all from their Bolero pack. D2N offers a range of wireless intercom products including Riedel Bolero and Clear Com FreeSpeak II. We are also specialists in integrating with external or 3rd party comm’s systems.
Sales
Moving on over to sales and we delivered an AV re-fresh for South Coogee Public School. Replacing their existing audio system with Bose Professional Processing, Shure SLXD Digital Wireless Microphones, BIAMP Community Speakers powered by a Dynacord Amplifier. Lighting was upgraded with the use of a ETC ‘EchoTouch’ DMX Control Panel making the entire system touch screen and simple to use for the school and its staff.
Our new favourite Vet in Wagga Wagga doubled their Motorola installation with more CLP117’s – Fantastic little Bluetooth enabled portable radio perfect for retail or small commercial operations.
We had several Victorian councils take up AIDA cameras for use in their Chambers along with our friends at AVC who purchased a range of NDI-200 POV cameras for a project. We even sold some of our custom Bolero covert kits to the Nashville Predators in the US!
Sales of Kiloview continue to be strong with all models moving across the month especially the E1-NDI and D300-4K units. With sports returning to most parts of Australia we have also seen quite a bit of Axiwi kit move over the month. Axiwi offer a very cost effective and small wireless intercom product which is designed for sports referees and umpires, horse riding schools, tour guide systems and much more. If it is portability and cost effectiveness you are looking for then Axiwi is definitely worth a look!

The team at Glass Island purchased a set of Kenwood TK-3710X radios for their event space, Sydneysiders would be familiar with this vessel seen around the harbour for several years now.

Superscreens Australia purchased a set of Hytera radios and Raytalk headsets to use at their venues including ANZ Stadium and SCG. We also helped them out with some new ACMA licences. Finally, our friends at Innovative Production Services engaged us to build a new Hytera DMR radio interface for their project work.
