The CEDAR DNS 2 is a compact two-channel dialogue noise suppressor designed for location recording, live broadcasting, live sound, studio and post-production applications. Small enough to fit into an equipment bag or pocket, it provides CEDAR’s real-time dialogue noise suppression with the near-zero latency required for live workflows.

The DNS 2 reduces unwanted traffic, air conditioning, wind, rain, babble and other background noise. It can also help compensate for poor microphone placement, difficult acoustic conditions and excessive reverberation. Operation is intentionally straightforward: the Learn function identifies and adapts to the background noise, allowing the operator to concentrate on selecting the required amount of noise attenuation.

For flexible integration, the DNS 2 provides analogue line and microphone inputs, with optional 48 V phantom power for compatible microphones, plus an AES3/AES11 digital input and both analogue and digital outputs. Its 12 V power input further supports portable applications, making the DNS 2 equally useful in the field, studio or edit suite.
