The IC-F5400D is a VHF digital transceiver designed to elevate communication to a new level of "smart." Key features include IDAS trunking, which allows for efficient channel sharing among a large number of users, multi-site connectivity over IP networks for expanded coverage, and a voting scan feature that automatically selects the best repeater site in multi-site conventional systems. Additionally, the radios support mix mode operation, allowing them to receive both analog and digital signals and respond in the corresponding mode.
