The IP740 series is a dual-mode “hybrid” radio that provides nationwide coverage over LTE networks and conventional VHF or UHF professional radio mode (IDAS™ digital/analog mode). You can press either the main PTT for LTE, the sub-PTT button for IDAS™, or the analogue channel to answer, as pre-programmed. If necessary, you can press the main and sub-PTT buttons simultaneously to address two groups at once.
The Bridge function relays received IDASTM digital audio to the LTE radio group and forwards LTE radio conversations to the IDASTM group. This function is useful when communicating outside of the LTE service coverage area with an IDASTM radio or a temporary cross-band connection between two IDASTM radio groups using different frequencies or channels.
Please note this radio comes with the radio, battery, and belt clip only. The charger, power supply, and antenna must be ordered separately.
