Satellite
RF over Fibre is used extensively in the Satellite Communications market. If offers a cost-effective way of transporting signals from antenna to transceiver equipment, especially when there is a considerable distance. This also means that new facilities can be designed with less reliance on being physically co-located next to the antenna farm.
With modules covering up to 40GHz you can transport in base band or IF depending on your application. We offer a wide range of products in a variety of form factors for various Satcom applications including, compact stand-alone modules or up to 4 modules in 1RU unit, or 8 modules in a 2RU unit removable panel that houses a control card. They can be configured for uni or bidirectional operation and come with a choice of telemetry options so you can actively manage the devices remotely.
RF Optic provides built-in Low Noise Figure amplifiers in the RFoF transmitter to reduce the link NF up to 6 dB. This improves the signal quality substantially for these kinds of applications. In addition, gain attenuation in the Tx and Rx enables to tune the links to the desired parameters.
D2N’s extensive experience in RF over Fibre means we can deliver a world class solution to suit your specific Satellite Communications installation.
